Idaho Boa Legal Issues

A couple who took in a boa that was found roaming loose was charged with selling it by the police department, who claim it was never formally adopted. The couple had had to pay vet bills, etc., and couldn't continue taking care of the snake. The police are surprised that the snake's owner isn't coming forward, as the boa is so "valuable." Apparently, nobody has told the police that red-tail boas are not worth nearly as much as they think it does, and are too often taken in by reptile rescues. (News source.)
